VALUE FOR MONEY

VALUE FOR MONEY

Never spend time on a job someone earning a lower salary can perform just as well.

EVERYONE UTILIZES TIME FULLY

To be most productive we must displace tasks we are currently performing with tasks of greater value. Our effectiveness is determined by the ratio of productive vs. non-productive activities filling the time at one's disposal.

FUTILITY OF WORRY

An old Chinese proverb says you can't change the past, but you can ruin the present by worrying about the future.

MAKING THINGS DIFFICULT

Hard work is often a result of procrastinating on the easy things.

TAKE TIME TO READ

Reading is a good investment of time. You could gain knowledge in a few hours that might have taken years to learn through experience. Set aside time each day to read about the significant experiences of others.

STUDY-TIME

Don't study past your attention span. If you find your mind starts to wander, take a few minutes to stretch or change your position. You may find 50-minute study periods with 10-minute breaks give the best results.

TIME SPENT SHOPPING

Back in 1987, American adults averaged six hours of shopping a week, according to an article by Paul Harvey in Quote Magazine. It's probably a lot higher now. A little planning, a shopping list, and self discipline would reduce this time since much of this time is spent window-shopping with no particular goal in mind.
